These Terms and Conditions govern the use of watch repair services offered by Marnix Atelier ("we", "us", "our"), located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. By requesting a service, submitting our contact form, or bringing a watch to our workshop, you ("User", "you") agree to these terms.

1. Definitions

"Service" refers to any watch repair, restoration, or related work carried out by Marnix Atelier. "User" refers to any individual requesting or receiving services. "We/Us/Our" refers to Marnix Atelier. "Agreement" refers collectively to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person or the watch's owner, you confirm you have their authorization to do so.

3. Service Description

We offer watch repair services including lume and hand touch-up, chronograph function servicing, and sentimental piece revival, as described on our Solutions page. Services are provided from our Chiang Mai workshop and may be subject to availability and bench capacity at any given time.

4. User Responsibilities

When submitting an enquiry or arranging a service, you agree to provide accurate contact information and honest details about your watch's condition where known. You agree not to misuse our contact form for unrelated or abusive purposes.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and design elements, remains the property of Marnix Atelier unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce or redistribute this content without permission.

6. Payment Terms

Pricing for each service is listed in Thai Baht (฿) on our Solutions page and is confirmed with you before work begins. Payment is due upon collection of your watch unless otherwise agreed. Any additional work beyond what was originally discussed will be communicated and agreed with you first.

7. Service-Specific Terms

Turnaround times vary by service and are discussed at intake. Where a watch's condition reveals additional needs once work has begun, we will pause and consult with you before proceeding further. Watches left uncollected for an extended period following completion may be subject to a reasonable storage arrangement, communicated in advance.

8. Disclaimers

Services are provided with care and professional attention, but we cannot promise a specific outcome for every watch, particularly older or previously modified pieces where internal condition may only become clear once work begins. We will always inform you of anything unexpected discovered during service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, our liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for pre-existing conditions of a watch not caused by our work.

10. Termination

Either party may withdraw from an agreed service before work has begun. Once work is underway, cancellation will be discussed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account work already completed.

11. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes will first be addressed through direct, informal discussion. Should this not resolve the matter, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai, Thailand.

12. General Provisions

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to do so later. These terms represent the entire agreement between you and Marnix Atelier regarding our services.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
